Size Standards
Six sizes plus the Munchkin, one temperament: documented data across generations
The classes follow the Official Standard for the Bernedoodle. They overlap, and a dog may mature into a neighboring class.

Micro Mini
The smallest Bernedoodle footprint. Perfect for studio apartments, frequent travelers, and anyone who wants Bernedoodle temperament in a truly compact companion. Same emotional intelligence, pocket-sized.

Petite Mini
A step up from the Micro Mini, with enough bone and substance for its size and the balanced proportions and expression of a true Bernedoodle. Easy to travel with, and right at home in an apartment or a smaller house.

Munchkin
A type, not a standardized size. The Munchkin is defined by its Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ancestry rather than by weight, but most fall in this range. The Cavalier brings a well-rounded temperament and a rounder, softer face at a smaller size. All the heart, in a travel-friendly package ideal for city living and seniors.

Mini
The most versatile size category. Large enough to feel substantial but compact enough for townhomes, apartments, and easier travel. Often the sweet spot for families balancing space and the desire for a 'real dog' presence.

Medium
A versatile size that balances the Standard's presence with more manageable proportions. Ideal for active families in suburban homes or large townhouses. Same calm disposition, slightly easier to travel with.

Standard
The full Bernese Mountain Dog frame at its most impressive. Heavy bone, broad chest, commanding presence. Best for families with a house and yard who want the quintessential Bernedoodle experience.
Standard XL
The upper end of the Bernedoodle size range: a big, powerful frame with the bone and muscle to match. For families with plenty of room who want the most dog. Size should never come at the expense of soundness, movement or health.

Micro Mini, Petite Mini and Munchkin: compact enough for any living space.

Mini size: the versatile sweet spot for most families.
